A free comprehensive Hebrew-English and English-Hebrew general-purpose dictionary of modern Hebrew. Morfix has some free and paid tools helpful in learning Hebrew and using it in practice, including an automatic nikud tool, a screen reader and other things.

Milog

Milog

A free Hebrew-Hebrew dictionary that also lists all of the words' forms.
Google Translate

Google Translate

Requires skill and persistence to use it efficiently, but has a lot of words you cannot find elsewhere and sometimes helps if you have a tricky word form you cannot guess. Also, you can feed it an entire paragraph or page of text to get some understanding what it is about.

Has a software Hebrew keyboard that may come handy if you don't have Hebrew layout installed at your device but need quickly to type something in Hebrew. (Note: this site can also help in this case)

Wiktionary

For a lot of words, you can see translation, usage examples, etymology and translation to related languages such as Arabic and Aramaic. A lot of common words are still not available, but it's gradually getting better.
